Living in holiness, love, righteousness and the fear of God
Deliverance is the biblical and spiritual process of being freed from demonic influence, oppression, and spiritual bondage.
It is not sensationalism—it is Jesus’ ministry (Mark 1:34, Luke 4:18).
Deliverance restores:
The soul, spirit and physical body
Freedom from torment of evil spirits
Holiness and spiritual clarity
Power to walk with God
It is simply God setting His children free.
Yes. Christians, a believer or some one that is born again cannot be possessed, but they can be oppressed, afflicted, tormented, and influenced by demonic forces. That being said, you must be 'truly born-again' and living in holiness, led by the spirit of God. Other-wise, you can be possessed again. Your faith walk is not by profession and the spiritual security you receive is the evidence. It is a daily war aside from you coming for prayer. Demons are spirits and do not die. Once one is conquered you will have to conquer another. They live in the body and soul and stack themselves like coins.
Those that still struggle with:
generational curses
lust, anger, depression
cycles of failure
addictions
spiritual heaviness
evil thoughts
nightmares
These are signs that a believer needs freedom as well as realignment with God principals and spirit.
Several reasons:
Western culture is highly intellectual, often ignoring the spiritual realm.
Many churches prioritize comfort and programs instead of spiritual warfare.
There is fear of controversy or misunderstanding.
Deliverance requires 'being called by God', sacrifice, fasting, prayer, and holiness—few leaders are trained.
Demonic powers fight hardest against ministries that expose them.
Wherever God’s power is rare, darkness is strong.
Some common signs:
Persistent spiritual heaviness or fear
Irrational anger or emotional instability
Recurring nightmares
Addictions or compulsive sins you can’t stop
Hearing intrusive thoughts
Chronic unexplainable sickness
Constant cycles of failure
Feeling blocked in prayer
Sexual dreams or spiritual attacks at night
Generational patterns repeating in your life
If the battle feels beyond your willpower, deliverance is needed.
No—deliverance is freeing.
The enemy wants you to fear it so he can keep you bound.
Jesus said:
“Fear not.”
—Luke 12:32
Deliverance is peaceful when done under the power of the Holy Spirit.
It is not Hollywood—it is healing.
No. Usually when there is shouting it is the power of the holy spirit at work beyond what can be seen. A minister may physically tell the demon to go but this command is only able to be carried out by the 'magnificent presence of God'. There are Angels that are sent to destroy the works of darkness. These things we usually cannot see with our physical eyes as the battle is in the spirit. By the presence of God, we may at times see a demon speak and manifest through someone undergoing deliverance. This is again the evidence of God's power over demons as sin will never reveal itself to a human being without being forced to by God. As said in Psalm 56:5-6, 5 Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.6 They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul. It is a form of prayer and an outward demonstration of the might of holiness and separation of Heaven and earth when this is taking place - commanding a Demon to leave. We here at New World Deliverance Ministries International are an Apostolic Ministry, so we have a very strong presence of Heaven amongst us.
Maintaining your deliverance includes:
Biblical teaching
Repentance
Healing the heart (spirit) and soul so that it connects to God
Casting out unclean spirits
Filling the person with the Word and the Holy Spirit
It is a process, not a one-time event.
All are in the need of deliverance. Every human being born to the earth has demons and they have almost polluted every family line.
Common open doors:
Trauma and abuse
Sexual sin - all sin
Unforgiveness
Generational curses
Addictions
Soul ties
Rebellion or disobedience
Witchcraft, occult involvement and New Age practices - (Psychic reading, tarot cards, energy healing , chakra balancing, crystal work, aura healing and any kind of spiritual work outside of prayer from a man or women of God).
Practicing of any worship of a religion outside of Christianity - Muslim, Buddhism, Hinduism, Catholicism, Shamanism, Ancestral worship, Voodoo, Santoria, etc.
Emotional wounds
Deliverance closes these doors and removes the spiritual influence behind them.
Some freedom can come from personal prayer, but deep or long-standing bondages require God’s appointed deliverance ministers. Just as you may pray for healing but still visit a doctor, deliverance often requires someone trained and anointed to help.
God raises deliverance ministers because:
They understand the ways of God and the ways of Demons
They carry authority through the anointing (a significant presence of God) Only God's presence will defeat a demon.
They provide accountability and guidance
It is God’s design— He will use the person to raise you up, so then you can have fellowship with God as well.
Deliverance can be:
Instant—for those that are humble and surrendered to the Holy Spirit
Progressive—for those who waver in obedience
Lifelong maintenance—because deliverance is also spiritual growth
Psalm 34:19 says:
“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers them out of them all.”
Deliverance is a journey with God, not a single event.
When done through the Holy Spirit, under a called minister, yes—completely safe.
It is unsafe only when attempted:
without God’s authority
without spiritual preparation
through unbiblical methods
True deliverance is done in love, peace, prayer, and the authority of Jesus Christ.
Because:
You are valuable to God
They know their time is short
They fear being cast out
They lose control, territory, and influence
They want to block your destiny. They don't want anyone making it to Heaven or knowing God deeply.
Deliverance breaks their chains and restores your identity and purpose.
You experience:
Clarity of mind
Deep peace
Restoration of joy
Spiritual sensitivity
Freedom from torment
Renewed hunger for God
Emotional healing
Power to resist temptation
Aftercare includes:
prayer
church fellowship
renewing the mind
staying in the Word
avoiding old habits & open doors
Deliverance prepares you for a closer walk with God.
Yes—every believer will need it at some point.
Jesus said:
“Deliver us from evil.”
—Matthew 6:13
That prayer is for every Christian.
Because deliverance:
frees the mind
heals the heart
restores destiny
breaks generational patterns
activates spiritual gifts
prepares the bride of Christ
makes believers whole
Deliverance is the evidence of the Kingdom of God coming near.
You can receive deliverance through:
personal surrender
deep repentance
renouncing sin
seeking a deliverance minister
attending a deliverance service
private one-on-one ministry
persistent prayer and fasting
daily obedience and love for God
Deliverance begins when you say:
“Lord, I want to be free.”
